When cleansing and moisturizing your skin, keep in mind that oil dissolves oil. Pimples, cysts, zits, blackheads, whiteheads are a result of several different factors including hormones, bacteria and dead skin cells.

Oil used to massage your skin will dissolve the oil that has hardened with impurities and is stuck in your pores. The steam will open your pores, allowing the oil to be easily removed.

Ingredients: Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Tea Tree Oil.

Directions: Massage oil into face. Soak washcloth in hot water, ring out, let cool a bit. Tip head back and lay very warm wash cloth over face for 10-15 seconds. Remove washcloth and massage existing oil into face again. Repeat washcloth over face. Wipe oil off face. Finish with our Facial Toner. Keep bottle out of direct sunlight. Do not touch eyedropper tip while dispensing to avoid contamination.

Packaging: Dawn to Dusk products packaged in Amber glass bottle with eye dropper. $15 for 1.7 ounces; $25 for 4 ounces.

  1. I’ve been on Jurlique and also Demologica products for several years. I now realized I was over washing my face causing me to have dry scratchy skin and weird breakouts especially on my dry forehead. It does seem weird at first to cleanse your face with oil but it really makes a huge difference in my dryness and complexion. At night I use the oil cleansing method and serum. When I wake up in the morning I don’t have to wash my face again, just apply some toner to my t-zone then apply the serum. Dawn’s products are far more natural and cheaper than the other cleanser/moisturizer products I was using. The small sizes are perfect for traveling and I plan to bundle Dawn to Dusk products in a superfood-based nutrition kit I am selling in Europe to flight crew, to keep your skin hydrated while flying.

  2. I agree with the very accurate and articulate comments of the previous comments — I had an almost identical experience! After the fearfulness of slathering oil on my face to clean it and using a minimal amount as a result, I have moved on to using two generous dropper-fulls and spending lots of time massaging my face (which has been acne-prone in the past) — I find the whole experience and ritual of the steaming washcloth an aromatherapeutic and relaxing experience, and certainly let the washcloth linger longer than 10-15 seconds. I spritz some of the fabulous toner afterwards and then follow with the Dawn to Dusk serum or Argan oil — heaven. I washed my face ‘the old way’ last week and there was a noticeable difference in how my face felt afterwards — tight and dry — not smooth, soft and clean. I recommend these products for anyone! I am a believer.

  3. OK – I have to admit. I was skeptical. Why on earth would I use OIL to cleanse my face? I imagined that not only would my face look like an oil slick when I was done, but purposefully putting oil on my face would inevitably result in blackheads, pimples, etc. Boy, was I wrong.

The first time I used the product, I faithfully followed the directions by putting a small amount of the very pleasant-smelling oil in my palm and rubbing in on my face. I followed by applying a steaming hot towel, and then massaging the oil in a second time before wiping it off with the cloth.

To my surprise, my face was NOT oily after using the cleanser in this way. In fact, it was soft, silky, and very lightly moisturized. Makeup was removed completely and my skin felt perfectly clean. Pores were minimized and my skin didn’t have that “tight” feeling that I get when using harsh cleansers.

I am officially converted to the Oil Cleansing Method and have seen my skin improve with continued use of the product. I always follow up with a spritz of the Facial Toner and have seen a decrease in redness and a definite improvement in my skin’s texture with this regimen.

If you are skeptical, I encourage you to try it. Your skin will thank you!
